ACTING II: THE DEEP DIVE A 7-Week Intensive in Scene Study & Character ​ You’ve learned the basics. You know your way around a stage. Now, it’s time to stop "acting" and start creating the life of the character. Acting II is an intermediate-to-advanced intensive designed for performers who are ready to move past the surface of a script. This class isn't about memorizing lines; it’s about uncovering the psychological machinery behind them. Whether you are a seasoned actor looking to refresh your process or a dedicated student ready for the next level, this 7-week course provides the tools to build a performance that is grounded, nuanced, and impossible to look away from. ​ The CLASS In this class, we treat the script like a crime scene. We look for the clues the playwright left behind to solve the mystery of the character’s soul. You will be paired with a partner and assigned a scene from a contemporary play which you will work on, refine, and "level up" over the course of the term. For the Trained Actor: Break through those "safe" choices. We’ll challenge your habits and push you toward the vulnerable, messy, and unexpected choices that define award-winning work. For the Growing Student: Learn the professional "Actor’s Vocabulary."
