Have you ever been interested in what it takes to craft a narrative for television? Have an idea that you think could be turned into the next hit series but don't know where to begin? In this workshop led by Naiem Bouier (Hulu's Interior Chinatown, Netflix, NBC/Universal, Sony, Film Independent) you'll be introduced to the basics of what it takes to write an effective logline, concept, what makes for a strong television character, cold opens, act breaks, and have a sense of what makes for a well structured episode of television. No experience is necessary, but a fundamental understanding of screenwriting basics will be helpful. Participants are encouraged to come to the workshop with an idea that they want to develop or that they may have done some work on already, and at least one personal story that they could pitch about themselves.
